Ready to get seriously strong and lean? Turn to the Bio Force home gym, which offers more exercises (over 100) and more weight (up to 220 pounds) than most other gyms on the market. The Bio Force gym is equipped with breakthrough Total NitroCell Technology, which creates a consistent weight resistance throughout your entire range of motion. As a result, the weights won't stall or grab as you start or finish an exercise--a must if you want to tone properly. In addition, the Bio Force offers a Slide-n-Lock weight-changing system, which makes it easy to switch single-handedly from 10 pounds to 220 pounds without getting off the machine. No more moving dangerous weight plates or awkwardly adjusting the machine's bows; instead, you'll change resistance effortlessly as you move between exercises. Best of all, the Bio Force gym works for everyone, whether you want to build big, ripped muscles or long, lean, sexy muscles.
The home gym includes several stations, with multiple arm articulations, an adjustable leg developer, a lat tower, and a two-position seat. Plus, the compact design takes up as little space as the average treadmill, with roll-about wheels for easy transport. To get you started, the Bio Force gym comes an owner's manual outlining more than 100 body-shaping exercises, two exercise charts (one for men and one for women), and Eric Lichter's Bio Force workout DVD, which shows you the proper form and technique for a variety of popular movements. The Bio Force home gym measures 65 by 82 by 52.75 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 174 pounds. Some assembly is required.
About Home Gyms
While offering the convenience of working out in the comfort and privacy of your own home, home gyms also allow you to focus on specific routines without having to wait in line or switch between a complex array of machines. In addition to improving strength, power, coordination, and muscular endurance, weight training can enhance weight reduction, enhance the immune and cardiovascular systems, and help prevent injuries. In general, home gym machines are compact units designed to strengthen and exercise many parts of the body. While no single home gym can provide a complete strength training solution, they are a convenient way to combine many exercises into a single unit. Some home gyms focus exclusively on upper-body workouts, while other, more advanced units focus on upper- and lower-body conditioning.
Mark Lauren is an international bestselling fitness author that has effectively prepared over 700 trainees for the extreme demands of the most elite levels of the U.S. Special Operations community. After winning several teen bodybuilding titles, Mark started his military career by being one of twelve to graduate the Pararescue/Combat Control Indoctrination Course, in a class that started over 100 trainees. As an experienced operator, during mission planning and execution of airfield seizures, combat search & rescue, close air support, and reconnaissance & surveillance missions, he trained troops capable of immediate deployment into areas of forward combat operation by military free-fall, static-line, all-terrain vehicles, overland, scuba, and other amphibious means.Leading by example has always been Mark's credo, and for this and his physical prowess he was often chosen to lead officers through all physical training events during the extremely rigorous Special Tactics Officer (STO) Selection course, which he did at a punishing pace. Lauren's active duty and civilian employment has taken him all around the world to teach, including Iraq and Afghanistan. During the three years following his military service, Mark Lauren spent much of his free time training at various Muay Thai gyms throughout Thailand. After training abroad a total of 7 months, Mark managed to capture the FL IKF Middle Weight Championship and a professional belt in Phuket, Thailand. Lauren broke, and still holds, the Pararescue/Combat Control Indoctrination Course's long standing "underwater record" by swimming 133 meters, on one breath, subsurface, for 2 minutes and 23 seconds, until losing consciousness.I've owned many types of gym equipment in the past , including free weights , multi-station gyms , and various Bowflex models (namely the Power Pro and the Sport). They can all be effective . I liked the Bowflex , and for some , they would suit most people's needs. It wasn't until I tried the Bio Force TNT out at my local sporting goods store that I came to the realization that this machine is superior.
The resistance changes are effortless and extremely quick , one can do a ton of exercises on it , and the resistance is constant throughout the range of motion . It took me 2 1/2 hours to assemble , but it was well worth it , and I rather enjoy projects like this.
I heard from a representative that the pistons have been tested through 150,000 strokes. That should last me about 12 years if they decide to fail at that point. They're about $66 bucks for a pair plus shipping , so not too bad if they ever need changed.
This thing is smooth , built solidly with excellent hardware , and designed to last . Excellent product. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the lack of a bar for doing squats. I improvised and bought a 9 lb rubber coated Troy bar and place the foot straps over each end. It works like a charm.
