Vision Fitness Biography

The only three words to best describe Rocky Sharma are motivation, education and inspiration. If Rocky Sharma’s commitment and dedication to his clients’ health and fitness is not enough, his credentials go on for days; a Master’s Degree in Personal Fitness Training, Multiple Sport Conditioning Certifications, a Group Fitness Training Certification, a Spinning ™Instructor Certification, a CASI Snowboard Instructor, a N.C.C.P. Level 3 (Multi-Sport Coach) Certification, a 1st Degree Black Belt in Karate and most importantly is a member of the Canadian Red Cross Sport First Aid – Sport Alliance of Ontario.

On the flip side of that coin, Rocky Sharma has also been an exceptional athlete himself. He has won prestigious awards such as The High School Athlete of the Year, The Fighter of the Night (Kickboxing), Wide Receiver of the Year (Football), Grand Champion (Karate – Kata’s), Most Valuable Player (Soccer) and won The Sport Karate Tour as a novice.

Rocky Sharma’s most challenging challenge was to participate in a 12-hour gym marathon ([6am Start] Treadmill 2hrs45mins – 15mins break, Elliptical 2hrs45mins – 15mins break, Rower 2hrs45mins – 15mins break, Spin Bike 3hrs [6pm Finish]) which raised over $50,000 in support of Cancer research for a friend who had died of Cancer and all those who have been suffering from the many forms of Cancer.

Since then, Rocky Sharma has appeared in many different newspaper articles and participated on several television shows such as Road Grill with Matt Dunigan and now is a regular fitness expert on the nationally broadcasted show Today’s the Day with Lianne Liang.

It should be no surprise that Rocky Sharma’s mission statement is to empower his clients mentally and physically through motivation, education and inspiration. Not only does Rocky Sharma specialize in developing sport-specific programs, weight management programs and body image programs, Rocky goes into Schools and Institutions to help kids and teens learn how to exercise safely and maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle.

Rocky Sharma is a mentor to many top trainers in the world who seek his knowledge and vision of the fitness industry and is a Lululemon Athletica Ambassador. His client list is at an all-time high spreading itself internationally to places like Russia, South Africa, France, as well as North America like California, Washington, New Jersey and all throughout his birthplace Canada. Being in the industry for 16 years Rocky Sharma has trained well over 10,000 individuals and taught over 1,000 group fitness classes.  Whether training school teachers, mothers, professional athletes, models, runners or fitness enthusiasts, Rocky Sharma’s knowledge, versatility and experience explains his ability to deliver results. Unquestionably Rocky Sharma is at the top of his game and will be for many more years to come. The Vision Fitness T10 Treadmill (formerly named the T9200) is one of the brand’s bestselling home treadmills. For an MSRP of $1499 you’ll get a great performer with a five-year parts warranty. The main “catch” is that the T10 treadmill lacks pre-programmed workouts! You can adjust the speed and incline, but you won’t get the presets that are common on other treadmills — Hills, Intervals, 5K, and so forth.
The 2.5 CHP motor moves the belt at up to 10 mph. However, the T10 Treadmill has a short 54” track. I’s not meant for long running strides unless you tilt the deck; working out on an incline will shorten your step. (Vision’s T40 with 60” track is better designed for runners, but it costs twice as much.)
Unlike most Vision Fitness treadmills, this unit can be paired with just one console, and a basic one at that. It has an extra-large LED that displays elevation, speed, time, distance, calories, pace and heart rate. A water bottle holder and reading rack are included.
What We Like:
Track cushioning: Vision is known for its high-end treadmill cushioning. The T10 has eight zones of variable cushioning to support your body differently at points of take-off and landing.
No maintenance: Virtually no maintenance is required! The treadmill track is waxed to last for the duration of ownership. With cheaper treadmills, you’re expected to wax the track every so often.
Motor: Vision’s 2.5 CHP motor is comparable to a 2.75 or 3.0 HP motor from other brands. It operates quietly and has a lifetime guarantee.
Incline: Speed up calorie burn and recruit different muscles by using the motorized ramp. The track inclines up to 12%.
Accessories: The reading rack and water bottle holder seem essential, but they’re not included on every home treadmill.
High capacity: This unit is stable for people weighing up to 325 pounds.
Price: The T10 is priced competitively. Considering its long warranty, customers get a good deal if they don’t mind the lack of programming.
Generous warranty: The T10 treadmill is sold with a lifetime warranty on the frame, motor and cushioning. There’s a five-year warranty on other parts, which is more generous than what you’ll find with most competitors at this price point. Service is provided for free during the first two years of ownership. Just one year of labor is more typical for equipment in this price category.
Looking much sleeker than other folding treadmills, the Vision Fitness TF20 is a favorite option in the $2000-and-up price range. Its 57” x 20” belt and 2.75 HP motor provide ample workout space and power for the typical at-home trainee.
Like most Vision Fitness treadmills, this unit is available with three console options ranging from a basic LED to a 15.6” touchscreen. The fancier the console, the higher the price. All of the consoles can charge USB devices and include accessory storage, water bottle holders and reading racks.
What We Like:
Track cushioning: Vision provides customers with high-end orthopedic running tracks. You’ll notice a significant difference over road running in terms of the shock that your body absorbs.
No maintenance: Virtually no maintenance is required for this unit. Just dust it every so often. The track is “pre-lubricated” or continuously lubricated. (With cheaper treadmills, the owner needs to re-wax the track every few months. Also, cheaper treadmills require you to tighten bolts on a regular basis. That’s ridiculous; you want a fitness machine, not a shop project!)
Motor: The TF20’s 2.75 HP motor operates quietly and has a lifetime guarantee.
Folding frame: The folding frame helps save floor space in your workout room. It’s made of heavy steel tubing and has a lifetime guarantee.
Console options: With three console choices, there’s something for everyone. The simplest option is the Classic console. It has a large LED readout and five preset programs. Data displayed include time, distance, calories, speed, incline, pace and heart rate. For more options, this console can be paired with a Passport media center. The TF20 with Elegant console has a 10” screen, 15 preset workouts, and more feedback. It can also be paired with Passport (sold separately). The third option is the Touch console. This 15.6” touch screen has a high-def display with 19 pre-programmed workouts. It also includes a digital workout journal, iPod integration and other perks.
Heart rate monitoring: The Touch and Elegant consoles include full wireless monitoring systems as well as contact grip monitors. The Classic model comes with contact grips and a Polar wireless receiver but no chest strap. The straps are sold for under $100.
Incline: Speed up calorie burn and recruit different muscles by using the motorized ramp. The track inclines up to 15%.
High capacity: The max user weight is 400 pounds.
Long warranty: The TF20 treadmill is sold with a lifetime warranty on the frame, motor and cushioning. There’s a five-year warranty on other parts. Service is provided for free during the first two years of ownership.

 What We Don’t Like:
Program variety: Program variety is very light on the Classic console. It would suit this reviewer’s 60-something father, but most people will need to pay more to get programming that they expect.
Price: Our favorite console, the Touch, brings the TF20’s MSRP to $3699. For that price or less, there’s plenty of appealing competition.
Weight: Some people choose folding treadmills because they’re easy to transport. That’s not the case with the 268-pound TF20. On the bright side, it’s stable.

Our Verdict:
The TF20 by Vision Fitness is no doubt a high-quality product and it’s sold with an above-average warranty. Compared with many other folding treadmills, this model is exceptionally durable yet sleek. It’s also sized well for just about anybody looking to walk or jog their way to fitness.
Our only reservations are 1) the heavy weight (you won’t want to tote this treadmill around) and 2) the high price of the most desirable option, the TF20 with Touch console. When Vision isn’t having a sale, their prices aren’t competitive.
